clipmill

Privacy policy

The short version: we only collect what we need to send you the launch invite and run the website, and we never sell your information.

clipmill is a tool by Alien IT Solutions (ABN 32 385 519 280). This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

  • When you join the early-access list. Your email address, and a note of which site you signed up on.
  • When you visit the site. Standard analytics such as the pages you view, rough location and device type, through Google Analytics, plus basic server logs our host keeps for security.

How we use it

  • To send you the download and launch pricing when clipmill is released.
  • To keep the website working and secure.

We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we use to run clipmill.online, and only as far as they need it to do their job:

  • Our hosting and content network (Cloudflare), which serves the website.
  • Google Analytics, which gives us aggregate figures on how the site is used.
  • Our email provider, which delivers your early-access sign-up to us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Otherwise, your information stays with us.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how the site is used. You can refuse cookies in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt out, and the site will still work.

Keeping your information

We keep your email address only for as long as we need it for the early-access list, after which we remove it. We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including taking you off the early-access list. Just contact us using the details below and we will sort it out. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first, and if we cannot resolve it you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
