What is the best day to post on social media in Australia?+
There is no single answer, and any page giving you one is flattening real differences. Wednesday is the strongest day on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. TikTok peaks on Saturday. YouTube splits: Sunday for long-form, Friday for Shorts. Australian time zones do not change which day is best, only which hour of it reaches everyone.
What is the worst day to post?+
Friday and Saturday on Instagram, Saturday on Facebook, and Monday and Tuesday on LinkedIn. TikTok has no single worst day, though its afternoons from 12pm to 5pm are the weakest slots across most days.
Does the best day change between Australian states?+
No. Day of week is the same everywhere in Australia. What changes is the hour: a Wednesday slot set on a Sydney clock reads two hours earlier in Perth, three during daylight saving, so a late-evening eastern post can land on the previous part of the Perth evening or, at the extremes, the wrong day entirely.
Should I post on weekends in Australia?+
It depends entirely on platform. Weekends are the weakest window on Instagram and Facebook but the strongest on TikTok, where Saturday leads, and on YouTube long-form, where Sunday 10am is the single best slot of the week by a wide margin.
